专家简介：

Dr. Vance L. Trudeau received his BSc and MSc (Animal Sciences) from McGill University and PhD (Zoology) from the University of Alberta (1991). Dr. Trudeau is Professor of Biology and holds the University of Ottawa Research Chair in Neuroendocrinology. In 2011, Trudeau co-founded (with R.J. Denver and C. Aramburo) the North American Society of Comparative Endocrinology (NASCE).

Trudeau leads an international team (www.teamendo.ca) of students and young researchers that study both fish and frogs. The long-term objective of his research program is to understand how the brain and pituitary transduce environmental and physiological signals into changes in reproductive function. This deep understanding of neuroendocrinology is fundamental to our understanding of successful vertebrate reproduction under normal conditions, for captive breeding or when the environment is under stress from pollution. With his research team and collaborators, he has published over 250 scientific papers.
